Character Spotlight: Lord Death from Soul Eater

Lord Death from Soul Eater is the perky headmaster of the Death Miester Weapon Academy (DMWA). He is a meister (meaning he can carry a weapon) and wielder of the Death Scythe, Spirit.
LD is a very perky person, with giant foamy hands and a goofy mask. It is not mentioned in the anime very much, but he didn't used to be so perky. In fact, he used to be quite scary. He changed his appearance when he tried to found the DWMA, and all the children would run away from him. I don't blame them, I would too. :)

Lord Death wears a long cloak, and a goofy mask, concealing who he really is. He has a son, Death the Kidd, and so it is assumed he is human. Nobody really knows for sure. Here is a concept art of Lord Death without his mask.

There is a lot not known about Lord Death, including who Death the Kidd's mother is, what Lord Death looks like without his mask, etc. A lot of theories revolve around these questions, and leave Soul Eater fans wondering. However, we do know a few things, including how the headmaster of the DWMA is fun, awesome, and not one you'd want to receive reaper chops from! Talk about a headache!!

Episode Spotlight: Trigun, "The $$60,000,000,000 man"

WOW!!
What a great start to a great classic!! The show begins with the main character, a blond spiky-haired man in a red coat is sitting in a western saloon with a couple of men while they talk about the legendary outlaw, Vash the Stampede.

"Vash the Stampede?
"That's right. He's the man with the 60 billion double dollars on his head. They say he showed up in Danken Town recently. Made quite a mess, I hear."
"Heh... so what happened?"
"The whole town got sacked! Mountains of corpses, all over Danken! The coffin maker got so rich, he built himself a mansion of wood!"
"Guy sounds plain crazy!"
"He's more than crazy! We'd be wise to keep our distance! Messin' with Vash is like dancing with death! He leaves a trail of destruction wherever he goes! Women! Children! He don't care! He'll kill them all! They call him the humanoid typhoon!!"

In truth, he's a big softy, with a love for doughnuts, and has a knack for defeating his foes without killing them.

"The word is that nobody died!"
"Ha! Like you don't need God to have a miracle!"

Due to this, two insurence girls find themselves very confused when they are told this man is the legendary outlaw, Vash the Stampede. One, Meryl, won't be convinced that he is, while on the other hand, her partner Millie is almost positive.
This is a great series, with elements of comedy, futuristic western (two things I never thought would be together!), and action, all wrapped up into a great anime! The person who introduced the show to me described it as the following:
"It starts out like a kid show, with comedy, and no real plot line. Then it gets REALLY weird for a few episodes, then drops into this really dark, rich plot, that makes you sit on the edge of your seat and wanting more."
